Her responsibilities include answering the telephones, verifying insurance benefits, and scheduling and confirming appointments. Upon arrival, she will be there to greet you and answer any questions you may have. At that time, she will collect your co-pay and make sure your chart is fully prepared for your visit with Dr. Turnquest. Kim enjoys the relationships she builds with each patient. Ericka M. Machado RMA Surgery Scheduler Ericka is our Surgical Coordinator and has been with Dr. Turnquest since October of 2008. She assists patients in setting up surgical and diagnostic procedures. After your initial check-in process, Ericka will assess your medical history and review your chart with Dr. Turnquest. After you have met with Dr. Turnquest, Ericka will schedule your surgery and guide you through your post-operative care. She finds great satisfaction in providing quality care. Emperatriz Salgado Bariatric Coordinator Emperatriz is our Bariatric Coordinator and has been with Dr. Turnquest since March of 2006. Her responsibilities include guiding patients through insurance requirements, submitting insurance for approval, scheduling surgeries, and assisting patients in their post-operative care. Emperatriz enjoys seeing how each patient’s life is affected by the weight loss surgery. She states, “Not only does their health improve drastically, but their confidence is boosted. She has extensive knowledge of the practice because she has held every position, which has resulted in her ability to effectively assist each patient. Sherri finds a great sense of fulfillment in assisting our patients in their journey to a healthier, happier future.
