Am I a Candidate
Obesity is a life threatening disease and can be found in 1 out of 3 people. It can lead to health conditions such as diabetes, sleep apnea, and high blood pressure as well as emotional distress. Patients who suffer from chronic obesity also suffer a diminished quality of life. If you do not know if you are a candidate, first check your BMI and then ask yourself the following questions:
- Are you at least 100 pounds overweight (body mass index of 40% or more) have a BMI or 35% and suffer from multiple medical conditions?
- Have you tried numerous supervised diet plans, diet pills, or exercise programs to no avail?
- Do you suffer from any or all of the following medical conditions?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are likely to be a candidate for weight loss surgery.
